This being the boat and sport show season, along with many of us rigging our boats and others looking to buy, I thought it would be helpful to start some posts in regards to the different motor brands that are available. In a short paragraph or two, tell us what you like about your Evinrude.

Bought a new white Evinrude 250 last year and matched it up with a white johnson 9.9 4 stroke. The two motors have run very well. The Rude is a very strong motor and with the stock alum prop pushes my whale of a Lund Baron - loaded with gear, kids, 70 gal of gas right around 50 GPS. I did foul the original plugs but other than this small problem - I am very happy with this motor.
The 9.9 runs a little fast for my liking but I hope the 10x7 - 4 blade prop, I just bought, slows her down to a crawl. I have to have everyone be quiet so I can hear if it starts or not - it is very quiet.
I'd buy both these motors again in a heartbeat. The 7 year warranty on the big motor dont hurt either.
