The bite at Red Wing has been pretty sporadic, one day the fish are there and willing but the next day they are tight lipped and tough to catch. Last week I put together a pretty decent walleye bite pulling plastics in 12 to 18 ft of water but that fell apart on me yesterday when that severe cold front passed thru. Been getting some decent sauger on the edges of the deep holes but that bite has been unpredictable at best. I guess what I am saying is that you can catch fish but you better have more than one trick up your sleeve if you are going to consistently put fish in the boat. Good luck to all.

Thanks Loren for the report. I was up that way last Saturday in the great weather. Sorry to say the fishing wasn't. We caught a few fish but really never could get on a pattern. Still had a good time and may get back up that way soon. I don't know that area near as well as I do the river closer to home but at the time it was the only game around.
