Location: S.E. Michigan | I'm looking at a few large screen combo units (lcx111chd, C80, 987si) I have herd of guys using 2 RAM mounts. Have any of you tried this? Any other ideas for a mount that woun't beat the electronics to death in rough conditions. I have also herd about the RAM D111-U w/ 2.25" ball and the RAM swing arms, any of you using these and do they provide some give so the unit doesn't have to take all the vibration & shock?
Thanks |

Location: Rockford MN | Just use the 2 Ram mount deal, you can't beat your boat any harder than the PWT or FLW guys that use this set up! |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | I use the single RAM mount system with the largest RAM mount available and it worked fine last year for my X-104. I plan to use this same mount again for my new X-110, which is the same as the X-111. It will work fine.
When you use this mount, I like to take the arm and put it at a 90 degree angle to where it affixes to the dash. This way it cannot fall. |

Location: Rockford MN | I do the same as you Jerry, you just have to have the dash room to do it. I have the same boat as you also, so its not hard to do on that rig. I could see a problem on so boats however. |

Location: S.E. Michigan | Thanks guys, I just ordered an LCX 111c HD Saturday and will be dash mounting it on a 2001 1900 ProV. If I use a backer and thru bolt the mount do you think there will be any issues? I thought about mounting it on the gunwale but I'm not sure I like the idea of looking down to view it. |
