Location: Berlin | I am going to fish the river for the first time tomorrow. Can anybody give me directions from 41 to the boat launch? Any fishing info would be nice but it sounds like it is pretty easy up there. I will let you know how we did. Thanks,

Location: upper michigan | rich are you familiar with the tower bridge any how you will need to take the first exit south of the tower bridge then you will turn north this will take you down to bay beech. take the left that would take you between the go cart tracks and bay beech follow this road down to the boat landing. Otherwise exit on velp once you pass military watch the right side of the road for Bob's bait and tackle they will tell you where to go.

| Rich,
Fox Point launch should be the one.
41 north to G. Follow G east, over the bridge. First light, take a left. Go about 2 miles to the Dairy Queen. Turn in there to the launch.
If that launch isn't open, do as Butch says. I know how to get to that one, too! hehehe
Or you could pick me up, and I'll give you personal directions! hehehe

Location: Berlin | Thanks for the quick reply guys. Shep, I would love to pick you up but my partner just got his new boat and we will be doing more breaking in than anything. We are only planning on being on the water for a couple hours. Thanks for the directions and I will let you know how we do. |

Location: Berlin | We made it up there and launched from the Fox Point launch. It was about the easiest fishing I have ever experienced with fish up to 25.5 inches. The avererage fish for us was 23". Launch looked great but only had one opening as the rest still had ice. Thanks again the Shep and Butch for the quick replies. |

Location: Fond du Lac, Wi | Just got back from Depere....What a afternoon stop counting fish after 20, the biggest was 22 smallest was 14. all jigging. Only seven boats by the dam. there are fish all over the river. But they are really stacked up at the dam. The launch was fine and if you don't mind a 4 inch bump right at the waters edge you can use the whole landing at fox point. Was really good to get out. Takes the edge off things. I swear I missed more fish then we caught. Took the eleven year old step son with, he's from Arkanas and couldn't believe we we're fishing from a boat in the snow. All in all it was a good day. alittle warmer weather and the sows should push in from up river. The water temp was 34 to 33.6. maintianed bottom just fine with a 3/8 oz jig. That's all for now have to pack for Baton Rouge, Leaving in the morning be back on Monday. |

Location: Fond du Lac, Wi | Went to the bumper boat arena yesterday. Saw fellow WFer's RangerPat and Shink on the water. Water temp was 39.2 to 40.4 degrees. If you are looking for some hot action to get the rust off the fish ,at lest the male are in, and they are thick. The average fish I would say is 16 inches the largest fist of the day for me was 21". All vertical jigging the main channel from the dam to the boat landing. I did hear reports that a couple of legal fish were caught in the last two days. 3/8 oz Blue jig with Katlins smoke with blue flake plastic. Be back out Sat, Mon And Tuesday. |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Thanks for the report Little Nephew. I'm hearing of some big fish being caught downriver from the dam. As expected, those big fish runn in schools, so if you go downriver and start hitting small fish, keep looking. |

| Was out today with my brother, and my 2 nephew's, one who is, in fact Little Nephew. Caught fish up and down the river today. Mostly smaller males, bu we did manage a few in the lower 20's. My young nephew Tom lead the way, catching the most. I got the biggest around 1:30, straight out from Fox Point. My brother caught several, and Little nephew got 2, I think. He strugglrd today. 16 year old Tom put on a clinic. It was brutal! hehehe |

Location: Freedom, WI | I was out 4 days over spring break this past week with decent results. We caught 245 total Walleyes and one Whitefish, the largest eye at 25", and the average around 18 or 19 inches. We also managed 3 tagged fish, which I thought was pretty neat. We fished up by the dam all week, but I wish I would've headed downriver and tried trolling, since they have been getting some bigger ones that way. This was my first time up there, so I thought it was awesome! It brought back memories of Canada two summers ago! If anyone knows some spots for me to try trolling, or just to get away from the crowd that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

| Went out Sunday morning with the wife and daughter. We had a great time! The weather was fantastic. The wife got a sunburned face! hehehe In all, caught 7 eyes, in 4 hours of fishing. Larger than last week, I'd say they avaeraged 18-19, with 3 over 20. One male was 21. Chartreuse jig and large shiner worked best for me. Ate at Hudson's on the way home. Pretty good food, and Lauren liked the Oreo milkshake and corndog.
Man, I love it up here! |
