The Hook and Spear club will be removing the ice bridge at 9 A.M. Saturday morning. The ice is still over 24" but our shoreline is going to pot.

Thanks Dale. I'll probably be out Saturday and I'd hate to get stuck on the other side of the heave.

Dale, Kudos to you and the boys of the Payne's Point Hook and Spear club. Thanks for another year on the ice.

You're welcome Jayman. It's our pleasure. Watch for news on our 25th Anniversary gun raffle. We'll be selling $20.00 tickets (up to 1000 only) all summer for a drawing in October. We also should have our web site up and running in about a month.

Well, we pulled the bridge. Although there is still over 24" of ice in most places, the shorelines are getting iffy. We managed to break through with 1 of our trucks (1' of water) right at the clubhouse. Some areas are developing slushy spots and bear watching. Let's all be careful out there.
