Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | According to what our walleye populations are on the Saginaw Bay, Only 1 in every 30,000 are tagged. So I've either been pretty lucky or I fish to much.
Anyway, I gathered all my fish tags from some of the walleye I've caught in the last 6 years, since they quit making you send in the tag itself for the return info. Seems I need 3 more tags to finish a neat plact idea, I plan on making and hanging next to my 11.7 pounder I have on the wall.
If they made a walleye call, I'd hang them on my lanyard while fishing, like the goose hunters do when hunting. :)

| So you have caught 540,000 walleyes or you are way above average.
Just a few more and you will be able to spell!

Excuse my levity. 540,000 may be a little low.
But it seems your understanding of what is written, is what is in question. If you read what my post says, it says just 3 more tags and I'll be able to complete and spell the word walleye. But I'm sure the initial thought of me catching 540,000 walleyes had you shaken up a bit.

| Well, let's see. Last year, my first year of really fishing eyes on Green Bay and Bays de Noc, I caught a lot of walleyes. Two of them had Michigan tags. Hmmmm, 60 thousand eyes for me last year? Wow, and I didn't realize I went through 5,000 dozen crawlers, either! Wonder what the ratio of WI tagged fish is, cuz I caught 3 of those, to boot. That probably puts me right around 400,000 or so caught just last year.
5 more years, and 25,000 dozen crawlers later, and I'll be able to spell out ANON.

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | I may have taken some liberty with the facts. Oh, not the fact that about 1 in 30,000 do indeed have tags. But the fact that where I caught most of these tagged fish was in their natal rivers, where most of them return every spring and fall. So the odds go up considerably.
I found it amusing though, that he might actually believe, that I was insinuating or actually believe I've caught 540,000 walleyes, even in my 45 year experience of catching them.
I blame myself for posting silly crap like that anyaway. I'm such an easy target aint I?

| Looks like you'll need 4 more tags unless your last E is Lopsided! | |

Ya...I actually have 19 tags. Just didn't add it as a dash to the mis-spelled walley.

| Obviously only the dumb ones are tagged. At least they are dumb enough to get caught twice.
Sorry for the unintended comment on your fishing skill
