| Hey there. I am wanting to install an aerator in for my baitwell in my boat. I have a 2004 Crestliner Fishhawk 1750sc. The years previous to this had the baitwell aerated. Anyway, my question is the about the drainage in the baitwell. Right now there is a drain plug in the bottom of the bait well that when drained the water would have to be bilged out. If I install an aerator in it, is it alright to put and over flow drainage hole in the baitwell and use the bilge to pump it out or should I run an out hose thru the side of the boat like the livewell has. Don't really want to drill a hole in the side of the boat if I dont really need to.
Someone must know whats the thing to do.

Location: Rhinelander | If you decide to run the water into the bilge, it would be necessary to have an autobilge system on board, and I would recommend dual pumps. Make sure the overflow is screened so no bait ends up under the floor of the boat. | |
