Subject: Installing an aerator???

Hey there. I am wanting to install an aerator in for my baitwell in my boat. I have a 2004 Crestliner Fishhawk 1750sc. The years previous to this had the baitwell aerated. Anyway, my question is the about the drainage in the baitwell. Right now there is a drain plug in the bottom of the bait well that when drained the water would have to be bilged out. If I install an aerator in it, is it alright to put and over flow drainage hole in the baitwell and use the bilge to pump it out or should I run an out hose thru the side of the boat like the livewell has. Don't really want to drill a hole in the side of the boat if I dont really need to.

Someone must know whats the thing to do.

Thanks,

Ronny

If you decide to run the water into the bilge, it would be necessary to have an autobilge system on board, and I would recommend dual pumps. Make sure the overflow is screened so no bait ends up under the floor of the boat.
