Location: Manitowoc, WI | Lowrance.....best combination of locator/GPS on the market. What is your price limit? They have a model for just about any price range. I highly recommend the LMS-332c. Easy to use, great detail, definition, resolution, and separation, plus an awesome GPS package for around $650. |

| I can spend about a grand or so what would be the best for that price. |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | I'd buy the LMS-332c and use the rest of the money for crankbaits!!! For the money, there isn't a better color unit available. The next unit up the chain would be the LCX-25c, but it goes for about $1,600. By the way, I highly recommend color units as opposed to monochrome. Once you use the color unit, you'll never go back to monochrome. |

Location: Chilton, WI | For $1,000 I'd go color no doubt. I would also get one with a little bigger screen than the LMS-332c. Stuff gets pretty small on the GPS map when you have the screen split. I'd also get a decent map card for the unit. |

| I agree with Jerry.Spend your six on the lms-332 color unit.It has the new solormax tft screen which makes a huge difference on sunny days.It only has a five inch screen, but it's 480x480, and it also has resizable windows in your split screen.Overall i think its more than adequate, and your best buy for the money. |

Location: Rockford MN | I would also go the way of Lowrance, but at the price range you are looking at I would also consider the Eagle 2000c 480x640 so it has more pixels and a 7" screen verses the 5" on the 332. It only costs $1,300 or so, but you will get better veiwing and better pixel count! The 2" larger screen is much nicer when you are running the split screen with half GPS and half sonar.
Just some thoughts, I know its a little more but I think you will be much happier in the long run. If space is the issue the 332 is a great unit. |

Location: McFarland, WI | If you can, go look at one of the detailed chips on the different screens. I would opt for a bigger screen. I run a Global map 5000 and find that when I zoom in to get contours, I loose perspective on location especially when running high speed. My wish list is to upgrade to a 7000.

| The 2000c is a decent unit too. What about buying two 332c's for the same price? You have a backup unit, backup gps, backup transducer, and can switch one to the front of the boat if your on your electric. Or mount them side by side on your counsole dash and have 5" sonar and 5"gps.The new lowrance's also have the solormax screens which the eagles do not.Just something to consider. |

| OR get a 102C with 5" screen and a 3500C with 5" screen. Both are under $500.

Location: Manitowoc, WI | That would not be a combo, EJ. They are separate units. I think Svenski is looking for a single unit with the GPS/sonar combo. Unless I am reading this wrong. |

Location: U.P of mi..keweenaw | Well it was the opener here yesterday and i was finally able to put my new 332c to the test and am very happy with the unit and would highy reccomend this fishfinder if its in your buget.
There is a one question i have though for you 332 owners...is there a way switch it to spilt screen, so you can see your speed and the sonar at the same time? when i switch it to.... navigation/sonar or Map/sonar.... all i see is my trail and there's no speed indicator, any suggestions or is this how they are? thanks |

Location: Larsen WI. | finner,
You can go into "overlay data" in your menus and check it to display speed/gps time etc. onto your sonar screen of the 332c. Then you will not have to toggle back and forth between sonar and navigation. You can also select split screen with navigation and sonar. |
