Best Line For Casting Cranks

I need some advice for line choice when casting crankbaits.

I mainly fish walleyes on small lakes with weeds, wood, rock etc. The water is generally fairly clear, sometimes a little stained.

What line do you folks suggest for casting crankbaits like shad raps. Some of the fish are in the heavy weeds. Do you suggest braids like Spiderwire of Fireline or a flourocarbon? What pound test?

Thanks

If casting in and around weeds, without a doubt PowerPro or Fireline. Can rip your cranks right through the weeds easily. With superline I would probably use 8 lb test.

The super lines are okay to use even if the water is somewhat clear? I always thought walleyes were line shy?
