If you live in Northeast Wisconsin you probably feel the same way I do. When is the weather going to cut us a break?

Friday the 13th and it is cold, windy, and raining. At least this gives me an opportunity to prepare my seminar for the 4th graders I will be speaking to at Quinney Elementary School in Kaukauna, WI on Monday. I can't wait to talk with them and will post some pictures if I can get someone to take some shots with my digital camera.

Jonny.

You'll never have a better audience than those 4th graders. Most of the problems I have giving seminars to grown up's, is giving them some new kind of information, rigging techinques or any new twists they don't already know about and are ancious to learn.

The little guys want and need to know about every working part or facit concerning any technique. It takes hours to explain one single technique when breaking it down to each item used and all their individual connected dynamics, but never leaves you thinking about what to talk about next. You might want to takes some Crawler Harness componets with you and show the boys how to tie up a crawler harness. It's a big hit when they can make something themsleves they can actually take home and use.

Acrually are predicting SNOW showers tomorrow in the NE portion of Wisconsin. Sheesh. I am sitting next to my wood burning fireplace insert going full blast, and actually need it tonight.

Well, this morning I went and talked with the 4th grade class at Quinney Elementary school in Kaukauna, WI. They were an outstanding group of kids and a very good audience. I talked about some techniques, equipment needed, live bait (even brought in some leeches and nightcrawlers) lures, safety on and around water, fun facts and do's and don'ts of a good fisherperson. After that was all done we went outside to see the boat and talk a bit about it and then questions and answers. I really was fun and I hope to do it again sometime.

I want to thank Jerry Ruffalo, Johnnie Candle, Keith Kavajecz, Steve Fellegy and the NPAA along with the WDNR for giving me some good ideas to talk about with the kids. I have done semianrs but these were my first with children. I also want to thank Dave's KaBoom Baits and Albackore Sportfishing gear for thier contributions.

Here are a few pictures that were taken during the morning talks.

I had a good time and I am pretty sure the kids did to.

I do want to thank the rest of my sponsors for their support through out the entire year: Mercury Marine, Survivor Live Well intake system, Dave's Kaboom Baits, Quarrow Performance Rods, Lure-Eyes, Albackore, Three D Tackle, and Kraft Pizza Company

This was for the kids and it all went well. I look forward to speaking to more kids in the future.
