Location: Appleton WI | I fish poygan (muddy water) a lot and pitch jigs into the canes. What line do you recommend for pitching jigs? Fireline, mono...

| If its muddy, you cant go wrong with fireline. Ive used it in clear water also and it doesnt seem to matter. |

| Yeah, maybe not where you fish, but whre i fish, i've caught fish all the way up into the canes and thats why i toss countdowns/huskys right into them and have caught fish consistently..... |

| Mike, Fireline works fine, in fact I suggest you use the hi-vis yellow line that fireline has to offer. 6 or 8# test is plenty heavy. I like the high vis, it helps to see the bite. Also the fire line will cut the weeds if you get hooked up with a fish that goes into the heavy stuff.

Location: esox,wi | For all the braided line users, I use 4lb. berkleyXL to pitch rocks with 1/32 jigs. I've only used mono in the past and i was wondering how sensetivity is with braided as compaired to mono. Feeling bottom is key to the area I fish.....are the ticks with a jig hitting bottom more crisp with braided? thanks. |

Location: Appleton WI | After trying mono and braided line on the same rod and reel(2 spools) on the same day I've decided that I will only fish with fireline now. I used the 6/2 flame green and the jig hitting the bottom could be felt 100 times better. I could actually feel the fish sucking the jig in its mouth and every little rock and log that I hit. I wasn't sure about braided line until I fished it Friday and now all my rods have it on them. |

| I actually have a problem with braids because they are too sensitive for me. I've jig fished for 30 years. I set the hook WAY too fast with the braids, miss most of the hits. Oh, well, I could retrain myself, I guess. |
