My Lowarance LMS 350A/GPS just went down and I'm looking to get it fixed, but just in case I can't fix it, what would any of you recommend replacing it with if I keep it between $600- $1000. I fish the River more then anything else, and hit different Lakes about three times a year. Mapping options would be nice, but not something that would get much use.

Like most things, get the best you can/want to afford.

I like and use Lowrance products, so here goes.

LCX 17M. 7" Monochrome. 480V X 640H pixels. With 200 KHz transducer and GPS. $899 Largest display under $1000

LCX-20C 6" Color. 240V X 480H Pixels. With 200 KHz transducer and GPS. $999 Verticle resolution is only 240.

LMS-332C 5" Color. 480V X 480H Pixels. With 200 KHz transducer and GPS. $649. Great resolution, Color, smaller screen, but a very nice unit.

Hope this helps. BTW, these are Thorne prices.

I had a 350 also and recently upgraded to a 102c and a 3500c gps. You can get both units at http://www.jollyannsales.com/, for under a grand. These are 5" screens with 480x480 pixels. They are both excellent units and can be seen easily in bright sun. You can also get a rebate form from Lowrance for your old 350. I think it is a $100 or $150 off the 102c if you trade in your 350. Call Lowrance FIRST and get the rebate letter, then make your purchase.
