| does anyone have a chart that gives specific dive curves for snap weights.......mainly while pulling harnesses.
i.e. #5 blade, 20' leader, 1oz snap weight, another 20', then board....how deep does this run
same example, only with 1/2oz, 3/4oz, 1 1/2 oz, etc
Thanks

| Precision Trolling 7th edition has a chart for the 50/50 method, fifty feet out, snap weight, then another 50 feet. It gives some approximations for the various size weights at 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 mph. |

Location: McFarland, WI | This is somewhat variable depending on blade size and type interactions with speed and line weight. Running over sand flats at various depths will let you know where your favorite combos are running. Precision trolling is a good starting point.

Location: Manitowoc, WI | All I ever use is 20' leaders with snap weights. I'm not a fan of the 50' lead. Just the way I like to do things. |

Location: Chilton, WI | The shorter the lead (distance from the spinner to the weight) the more up and down action your harness will have if there is a decent chop. If there are good size swells I'll experiment with even shorter leads. You'll be able to cover more area in the water colum this way. 20' is usually the longest I'll go with also. |

| the reason i brought this up is because i was out yesterday and the only way i was catching better fish was with #5 blade, 20' leader, 1oz snap weight, 20 more feet, then the board. i had 2 rods set up like this and were the most productive. i tried 3/4 oz with 25' and 30' between the snap weight and the board, also 1 1/2oz snap weight with only 10' and 15' between the weight and board........nonetheless, the 10oz weight outfished the other 4 rods 4:1. Also, for the record, i was trolling 17-19FOW @ 1mph.
I also dont like the 50/50 method, imho, its extra line out that isnt necessarily needed. Ive got to hook up with my friends cousin that fishes Boater side of the RCL league and has fantastic luck pulling spinners with splits on Green Bay. theres got to be a method tho this madness.....lol
Thanks much for everyones input thus far.
