Taking my 3 & 5yr. old boys up this Sat. afternoon, looking for good launch and decent hotel for Sat. eve. Boys likely would like to have a pool- any suggestions?

Not sure what city you're looking for, but for a nice room at a decent price (with a pool) in Oshkosh, I would recommend the AmericInn on the corner of 20th and South Park. I had to stay there for almost 2 months when we had a house fire. They also have receptacles on the light poles in the parking lot to plug in the boat. Dave S

Not a bad suggestion. If you go east from there you will find a good landing on 24th and Main. You'll see lots of boats on the lake due to the Otter Street tourney but they launch at Millers Bay and 24th should be fine. Bring the kids over for the weigh-in. Should be lots of big baskets.

My buddy made reservations just yesterday - Tuesday, for a motel in Osh Kosh. We are fishing Saturday, then ckecking out the weigh-in later in then day. There are plenty of rooms available according to my buddy. So if the the first 1-2 hotels you call are booked, you should not get discouraged! WM

Thanks,

Will not have time to check out weigh in due to getting in town later that afternoon but will likely launch away from tourny site.

Does anyone know where the Fleet Farm is located in Oshkosh or a telephone number?

It's on the west frontage road (Hwy 41) between 9th Street and Hwy 21 exits.
