| On his Blog... Larry posted an idea that has great merit... He suggested that we arrange to take the kids of servicemen and women who are forward deployed out fishing... A thank you to Mom and Dad...
I'm there in a heartbeat... How could this get done... all across America there are kids that are really missing Mom and Dad... We could make life just a little bit better for one day... |

Location: Kaukauna WI | When in Navy they had a orginzation called Navy relief this group would be a good start and can allow you to not have as much red tape of finding out deploment of which teams or units for national security reason.

I'll pay for the domain, hosting, and do some web development if someone wants to lend a hand for a .us or .org site or a site just for the kids.
My boats always open for a soldier or family member!

Location: Elgin, Illinois | Do you think that someone like BASS.... FLW... Would pick up on this? BASS through the Federation...local clubs... The FLW through the Leagues and Tour Events and the BFL and Everstart.... There are a tremendous numberr of boaters that would do this... Some kind of umbrella org... could even work it like a "share a ride" sign ups on one side get matched up with sign ups on the other side... Somebody above my paygrade has to have the organizational skills needed to make this fly... |

Being a veteran of the Special Forces I appreciate the fact that someone cares enough to take a military member or one of their family members fishing. We use to do this every year with underpriveledged children when I belonged to the Wis. Anglers Fishing Club. To see the smiles on their faces and the thanks received from the parents really is a special feeling. I am looking forward to helping out in this endeavor. Again Thank You all. |

Location: McFarland, WI | I also don't have the organizational expertise for this endeavor but if money is an issue I have talked with several vendors and sponsorship would be no problem once an organizational structure was developed to take donations. |
