The heat wave has broken up here, and looks to do the same for much of the midwest this week for a few days. We have a high temp in the low 70's forecast for tomorrow. We need rain though, big time.

How has the heat effected your walleye fishing, and your success ratio? How'd you do this last weekend?

We didn't get out this weekend but the friends who did reported pretty lousy fishin'. The Perch fishermen on Winnebago are pretty tight lipped though. I think some of them are doing OK because they aren't talking.

Northern Illinois is still in the grips of the heatwave. Pushed over 102 in Chicago Sunday, forecast mid-90's Monday. WE are looking forward to the mid-70's forecasted for later this week......and RAIN tonight!

Limited out with three people in boat in an hour. Prefer fishing heat waves for walleye and musky.
