Location: Rhinelander | What was hot (other than the weather) and what was not for you this weekend? Anyone into a good bite? I was on my way back from the PWT in South Dakota Saturday, and after shooting Nate Huebner's new 2060 Tuffy running with a 225 HO 'Rude and his Dad's running a 225 Opti on Big Stone took the long ride back home. Got back home late Saturday, and fished only two hours yesterday evening for muskies in a MuskieFIRST Matchfishing match-up. My son fished 'eyes some and did OK on smaller waters around Rhinelander. How'd you do this weekend, any fish stories?

| The Rude H.O. was a hair faster, 60.5 fully rigged with 2 guys and 50 gallons of fuel.
90 degrees 5mph wind and 70% humidity.

| FOWL! Go test one with the 225 Pro XS, which is Merc's answer to the HO. |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | I'll let you Tournament boys sort out who rides in, and just what brand of these motorized bullets are the fastest, to get to the spots with no fish.
I ran a trip yesterday in 5 footers and managed to come back in the 8 miles, both safely and with very few back breaking slams on 3/4 plane, at a blistering 13MPH in the Grady. And nobody needed a block and tackle to get out of the boat at the dock. I love my Old man's speed boat.
We trolled for the 4 hour half day trip from just North of the Dumping grounds, along the channel almost to the plug. Caught 4 walleyes, one cat and a sheeper. The walleyes were two dinks and two decent fish of 24 and 24 1/2 inches.

| Capt Dan, no doubt in 5 footers I know what boat I'd like to be in.
Shep, I agree the comparison is not apples to apples HP-wise, was just answering the question as asked. Plus we don't have a 225 XS XL to test yet, although we have tested with the 250 XS and 250 Verado. We were not out doing a comparison between the two, and neither boat had a tweaked setup, the motors were just simply "hung & run" to see how the E-tec performed, as this was the first one ever on a 2060. Conversely, there are a TON of Opti's out there on the backs of 2060's. |

| It was up to the north woods of WI for me and some quality time with the family. After spending some ching on Muski gear I thought it appropriate to use it, Got to hit lakes that I haven't been on in years, like Big Lake, Palmer, and Ballard also got to experience a few new ones! 14 people boated 7 skis in 1 and a 1/2 days of fishin' seemed like everyone raised a few fish. Every now and then it's nice to get back up there as I was raised in the area, besides the ole Bago probably didn't miss my baits to much as the fish here seem to have plenty of feed these days! Next weekend it's off to the Ozarks for some serious pole time.
Good Luck
