I should feel honored to have receive this 1373 page Hard Bound Cabela's Special Edition Catalog, and in a way I do. But I'm thinking the Monetary spending qualifications to be picked to receive this special edition, would make me sick if I knew the exact cost in merchandise I paid over the years for the honor. And I'm thinking I'd qualify for the Gold Watch if Bass pro ever does anything like this. :8o:

So, has anyone else received this Special Honor, and has anybody else's wives figured out why?

Got mine about a month ago. I was told that there is even a leather bound edition for the really big spenders!

Just received the 5th one....it's funny though...we really don't spend that much with Cabelas. I don't think you have to be special to get this book though...you just have to be on their mailing list! lol

It's probably their way of making you feel special, so you will spend more money with them.

If that's the case, I think their marketing team needs to get more in touch with their buying public. Sportsmen (and fishermen in general) seldom need an excuse to spend more money on anything related with their sport. We'll move heaven or earth and make the baby drink 2% milk to get that new colored crankbait.

aye captain, i received one for the last three years. i thought it was fuel for my addiction till someone told me they send them out at random. as for the better half, i keep her happy with craft and scrapping gift certificates. when she asks about new equiptment my stock answer is "oh, i've had that for a while".

I get the regular old catalog, but that's ok with me as long as the prices are the same...

Oh ya Steve.

The prices in my special catalog seem to be the same as they were in the rag top version they used to send me. Seem us guys who have given them everything except our first born, only get a better bathroom version for serious reading.
