Got a late start on Monday and got on the water at 10:00. If anyone is looking to go fishing here, take County B (same exit as the new zoo) east 1 mile, the landing is great and it's easy to find, $5.00 to launch. (Make sure to watch your GPS map and the warning markers for the rock piles.....) and remember, it's a fairly long boat ride to get there.... and it can be rough!!! Fairly strong south winds had 2- 4 footers on the bay, reminded me of a choppy day on Winnebago with an occasional 4 footer for fun. Trolled Ganos reef with #5 Holigraphic blades, 36 inch harnesses, 1.2-1.5 mph with no motor running most of the time. Today the hot color was fire tiger. I caught 5 fish in a couple of hours including a nice 27 and 3 - 24's. Every fish came in 6 - 9 feet of water over heavy weeds on the north end of the reef with no weights on the harness, 40 feet behind the boards. The bite was over by 1:00 ok... I stayed in the area till dark to see if I could figure out the afternoon bite... so far, mornings are best for me.

On the water again tomorrow... I'll post how I did.
