They may be in tourmoil every year but this year it seems that It may affect the Walleye world as Irwin Jacobs may inherit thousands if not tens of thousands of new friends with deep pockets, I'm sure that revenue might make it's way around the industry!

What do you guys think after all the hype about how good BASS has marketed themselves and bennefited the industry and how far behind the Walleye guys are? Is this gonna spin things dramatically for you personally or not????????

Good Luck

Irwin doesn't have friends. He has working relationships.

Walleye fishing will always be "behind" Bass in the U.S. It has nothing to do with time......strictly demographics and size of markets.

Tapping into Canada could open a whole new segment of the market. How to do it, is the trick.

Twas right before the Classic, with thoughts at the "mouse",
That these Federation guys were creating a rouse;

BASS’s strategy was set and made very clear,
In hopes Irwin Jacobs went missing, and not soon appear.

BASS management was quite happy, all smug with their plan,
With visions of Ray Scott behind them, to serve as front man;

Everything was set, an anticipated sensation,
Now who should appear, but The Bass Federation.

Some of you can’t fish because of five bucks,
That was made clear to y’all from our leader Don Rucks.

Now Robert and Chuck, and Gary and Joe,
Michael, Charley and Rodger, you’ve been let go!

We’ll no longer put up with your unparalleled gall,
Now go away! go away! go away all!

Another error of judgement on BASS’s own part,
Done hastily in public, and not very smart.

When out of the crowd came a statement en mass,
Don’t treat us this way, you big wigs at Ma BASS!

We volunteer our time, not a penny we ask,
We consider it our pleasure, not a disagreeable task.

Now opportunities have opened, they’ve begun to abound,
BASS and the Federation should have reached common ground.

No one party’s quite innocent in this new viscous rift,
We’re all partly to blame, and should cool off real swift.

The world we inhabit has changed quite a bit,
The evolution of our sport shouldn’t cause this big split.

Now the FLW sees opportunity knocking at their door,
They welcome us all, as they did once before.

And Jacobs blames Ray, cause he sold out for dough,
So BASS has used others to counter the blow.

Reports in BassFan are honest, and should not pose a threat,
As knowledge is crucial, though some be upset;

ESPN’s getting NASCAR, a new twist in our tale,
So does this leave BASS soon up for a sale?

The more we all know, the better decisions we’ll make,
As its just too important to commit a mistake.

Some say the problem’s communication and what they direct,
But I think the dilemma we face is lack of trust and respect.

Now back to the message, back to the score,
The Federation wants answers, of that we implore;

Some think we’re disorganized, unable to agree,
To BASS this mistake Jones should not guarantee;

As we are not just fisherman, we’re much more than that,
Cause Conservation and Youth won’t lose out in this spat;

We’re made up of volunteers, who give more than we get,
And don’t take well to a big corporate threat;

We desire to get back to our roots and our goals,
And hope our elected reps don’t abuse their new roles.

Its’ unfortunate politics has taken center stage,
While polluters and PETA continue their rage.

Now there’s more to the story, more to unfold,
Anticipating outcomes would be far too bold;

But we’ll shout from the rooftops, and type on the net,
A firm message to those that should not soon forget;

That we’re good and we’re strong and we won’t go away,
'CAUSE THE BASS FEDERATION IS HERE, AND IT’S GOING TO STAY!'

If you thought walleye anglers talking about things they dont like in the tournements, read some of the red neck bass fishermens comments. They are the true pro's at pitching a bitch.
