Location: Menasha, WI | Was out from Wheeler's point a ways today. Good ice 5"-6". I had a few good hits but couldn't seal the deal. I was fishing with my boys and I was Vex-less so I wasn't necessarily giving it all I had. Nice to be on the ice though. |

| I have a Lowrance x40 graf that I bought brand new and used 3 times for ice fishing.... it is mounted in a plastic tool box with the transducer and the power cable. I rigged the transducer on a rod attached to the outside of the box so you can set the unit in the hole. All you need is a battery and it is set to go... so if anyone is interested in this unit... I'd like to see it go to someone who enjoys the hard water. E-mail me if you are interested. Hopefully someone in the Neenah-Menasha area can use this unit.
I prefer my water to be softer than ice..
Hoping for an early spring!!!!

Location: OSHKOSH, WI | For a reply on reports. I have fished the last three days at asylum bay with little luck. I have seen a few jumbo perch caught, but barely a meal for one with a whole day of being on the ice. I tried waxies and tipups with shiners. The shiners I had were small, but that is all they had at two's. I seen a couple guys out for the last two days and they were running after flags about every 15 minutes or so sometimes less and pulling up perch it looked like. They were using larger lake shiners on a treble hook. I tried the same set up with smaller shiners and not a legitimate flag went up. I really could use a new spot. Maybe off memoninie park if the ice is good. Post ice conditions if anyone knows them please. It is still early ice with people getting anxious to drive on the ice, a little premature if you ask me. I still wear a vest on the lake and I walk. FLY |
