This charger (charging component) works in conjunction with or without an AC Charger. Basically, this unit charges all of your batteries (24/36 volt systems) off your big engine while it is running so you almost never have to plug your boat in ("charge on the run".) Also, it will top off your batteries all day as you start your big engine to greatly increase the performance and life of your batteries. I used this unit for several months last year and my batteries never got below a 3/4 charge and after every run they were fully charged. It's lowest retail selling price is $299.95.
