Location: Adell, WI | Hello everyone!
This topic will be were I report the "Daley News Report"
Once every week I'll try and report some fishing news! Feel free to add any news that you know of.
This week's news:
The new models for Patriot boats have arrive in the main warehouse! No need to worry about some of the changes. The hull is still the same great rough water busting machine! Thank goodness! I for one love the way the Patriot slices through rough water. But some of the new changes are for the better! 5 inch drop on the deck. New placement of the batteries. That's just a taste of the small but nice new changes.
I'll head over next week and take a look personally!
Other news going around lately. Larry Eaton, Rick Larson and Rob Stratton make the move to turn Pro on the Professional Walleye Trail. Congrats. And good luck this season. Please try not to hit anyone with your boat [] or something goofy like that..
Cold weather brings good ICE in Wi. Rumor's of nice fish being caught on Little Bay De Noc continue. I for one still haven't found them, but I will keep tring!
This weeks HOT new or old products: Flasher's. A must have product for Ice fishing. There are a couple of great flasher's out on the market today. A flasher gives you the ability to see fish high or low. With real time information its sweet. If you haven't used one, find a friend who has one and you will be hooked for life. |

Thanx alot bud!
Since my plan is to follow your Patriot Boat all over the lake (to break the waves, of course), you have a legitimate concern about some rookie running into you!
I also notice The Fonz is back...Happy Days are here again! |

Well I am sure everyone has heard that there maybe a increase in fishing/hunting license in Wi. Wonder if this has something to do with the low numbers of hunters? Or maybe the CWD? What do you guys and gals think?
..
I attended MN boat show yesterday (Friday). Dealer's at the show said sales were excellent. I check out the new boat models and price's. In my opinion the new Patriot models will stack up very nicely and still be a better buy.
..
Rick Larson continues to tour through WI and MI in search of off season deals at different sporting good stores. He tells me that a lot of items are to be had at %50 off..
..
I am heading over to Kiel for a sport show. Should be a lot of fun. I'll report on how the show went later this week.

Location: Adell, WI | I was at the annual Sportsman's Dinner yesterday for a few hours. What a great set-up they have. Everything is free. The meal, the admission. A good friend of my Pete, was working at the off shore tackle booth. He had this to say "Every year this show gets bigger and better." This year's key speaker was fellow angler Daryl Christensen. I compete with Daryl on the Professional Walleye Trail. He is defiantly a classy person!

Location: Adell, WI | I just received the February edition of the Walleye IN-SIDER!!
HEHE..
Of course I feel very lucky to have a small picture of me in it. PWT Qualifiers page 44 []
It's so much fun to see your own name in a magazine that I have read for years and years. I never really picture myself in the running for top gun. But hey it's kinda cool. Even if I am 28th. Fitting since I finished 28th at the PWT championship.
..
Like all of you I am very excited for the new tour season to start!
Now for some real news.
A friend give me a call and we are going to do some perch fishing on Sat. on Winnebago area. I'll post the results when I return.
Another friend told me. His trip to Little Bay de Noc was okay. A lot of small walleye's. I do know that a few guys are doing very well there. But THEY WON"T TELL ME WHERE!!!! aggghh.
I am going to head to Milw. Wi to check out the boat show one of these days.
Until next time,

Location: Appleton, WI | About the increase in licenses. Maybe because of CWD? Good question. Did any of you guys see the program on the Outdoors channel a few weeks ago about CWD in Wisconsin? Well it was a very interesting show and I should of taped it. They had experts from Texas and other areas come to Wisconsin and talk about CWD and how it is a big scam. They were talking how Wisconsin has gotten all crazy about something that has been here for 20+ years and are blowing it way out of proportion and how the DNR is wiping out management units for no reason but for there own reasons. Everybody got all scared and nuts about eating the venison when there is no proof of if it can ever affect humans. All the money the DNR lost this past season from the big scare. I wish they would have shown that same show on our local networks so everyone could see how blown out of proportion Wisconsin has taken it. I thought it was a very informative show to see. Hopefully the Outdoors channel will have that show on again sometime.
Channel 100. Have you guys seen the show? |

| I did catch that show on the outdoor channel, they were pretty critical of the wdnr. In my opinion rightfully so, their out of their mind if the think they can control this in a wild heard, just like TB. I thought that show was very well put together, and for once, shed some light on the other side of the story. |

Location: Adell, WI | This weekend. Rick, Pete and I went to Wendts for some perch fishing. Ice thickness was very good for about 1-2 blocks. Then open water can been seen not to far.
Perch fishing was slow for us. Water depth was about 5 ft. I caught 6 small perch that I had released. Lost a few more. Rick caught 4 keepers. I had the Aqua-Vu on most of the day. I could see a lot of big shad swimming around. I saw one walleye also. There was a lot of traffic on the Ice. Not sure if this was the cause for such poor fishing. Sturgeon spearing might be very tuff this year due to the open water??
I heard that a few anglers have been doing well at Lake Ellen so I am going to go and check it out. Since the lake is only 2 miles away from home.
Until next time.

Location: Oshkosh | I will tell you exactly why the state is thinking about raising hunting/fishing license fees, and it deosn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out, either. Wisconsin is a TAX HELL. And we have a monsterous deficit. TAX HELL + Monster Deficit = tax hikes on anything and everything.
I'm waiting for the government to start taxing me everytime I take a dump... I probably won't have to wait too long.[:blackeye:] |

Don't give up Brother, this massive deficit will force the state to look at itself and cut costs. If your worried about paying to much tax, work less hours and you will pay less tax.
Then you can get alot more time out of your fishing and hunting license![8)] |

Location: Adell, WI | Rick Larson will be heading to Little Bay De Noc for a few days starting on Tuesday. I will be checking out the Fox River through the week. And Larry Eaton has been fishing the Madison area and Petenwell. So we should have some good fishing reports by the end of this week.
Will spring arrive late this year? Whether it does or not. Now is the time to start getting your gear ready for the tournament season. Sharpening hooks, tying spinners. Re-spool your fishing line. etc. Now is the time.
Take care,

| Hey Dale, ummmmm not that it matters but you weren't too tuff on that Patriot hull now were ya? haha hate to have a weak spot when I run into something.
Took 5 guys up to Simcoe (north of Toronto) this weekend, normally 100 fish per man 9-13".....absolutely the worst trip up in 10 years.
6 guys 80 fish....bad bad bad
Planning a tirp soon to LBD...anyone want to go show me how it's done?

Location: Adell, WI | Some "Daley News"
I talk with the Professional Walleye Trail the other day. They told me that they have just a few remaining spots left for the tournament at Mississippi on June 11th to 13th. Email at [email protected] if your interested. Great body of water to fish. With many different tactics used.
I heard the fish have been doing pretty well through out the Winnebago system. I have been in the Oshkosh area for a few days and caught plenty of eaters. I witness several 20 inch plus fish caught on the Winne bridge.
Trout action has been good around Sheboyan power plant and harbor. I also heard that the harbor at Port is doing well. Brain from Milw. May know how the fishing is doing there?
