| Congrats to Jim O and WalleyeX!!
Saw these two characters at the Green Bay Boat Show today. I talked with Dave K while Jim was in with Wendy and Steve L from Ranger. He came out a couple hours later with a couple new Ranger hats! Can't wait to see his new 620!
On my way out, I passed the Triton boats, and There was Greg, AKA WalleyeX. He informed me he has a Triton 215X coming. WoW!
I got the bug real bad, now. May have to put the Lund on the block, and ante up for something real new. They don't get much newer than the Tuffy 1890, eh? Saw this boat at the Muskie Expo last weekend. I really liked what I saw!
I love the boat show season. Almost as much as an opening day! |

Location: Jackson, Wisconsin 53037 | Hey Shep,
speaking of new boats, I just signed on with Tracker. Just ordered my new 21 Tundra, with a 250 Verado.
You would look really good in a Lund 1900 pro-v. I have to sell mine now, you know anybody looking?

| Shink,
Congrats on your new boat. As a former Tuffy guy, I'm excited about the opportunity to get back in the new Tuffy 1890. I really hope everything works out. I hope to know soon. |

It was good to see you at the show. I wish we would have had more time to talk. Bring on the open water, after spending yesterday and all day today talking boats and fishing I am ready for some open water to start off the season. |

Congrats on your new sponsorship with Tracker. I'm happy for you but saddened that Lund lost a quality ambassador like yourself.

| Utts,
I don't suppose the wife would settle for a different car as being the same as a new car?
Maybe you should buy her a new 3/4 ton diesel pick'm up to pulll that new boat with! Problem solved!

You are a wise problem solver.
That goes under the old saying "why didn't think of that?"

| Skeeter, I own a 2006 1760 DC with a Yamaha F150 and T8. Absolutely love the boat, for 17'6" it can't be beat. The interior layout is perfectly thought out, and fishes like a dream. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask, or send me a message and we can talk.

| Purple Skeeter,
I know several that own Tuffy's. One of the local guys here is Pat Schuette. I don't know how much he looks here, but he's a good friend of Jerry. I'm sure Pat will tell you all you need to know about his Tuffy 2060. |

Pat sold his Tuffy and is now in a Triton. Bob Mehorczyk, who goes by the handle of Horshak, bought Pat's boat. I'm sure he can help you out. |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | You are quite right Jerry! I would be more than happy to let someone check out my 2060 DS or answer any questions I would be able to answer. Only having it out 3 times since I bought it really hurts that much more every morning walking through the garage going to work. My email is on my profile. Drop me a line and I will see if I can help. By the way, anything I can't answer can be done by contacting Denny at Fort Fremont Marine. Contact info is as Stacker posted. He is a very down to earth and knowledgable guy when it comes to Tuffy.

| Pat probably left Tuffy for the same reason others have left Tuffy-MONEY! Tuffy is stingy when it comes to support. My opinion comes from a former Tuffy pro-staff member who still has nothing but good things to say about the boat. It's unfortunate because I believe it give people the wrong imprerssion. My '99 Osprey 1760 is rock solid and I prefer the layout to the new ones.I like the improved accessability of the pumps but that's about it. I like my little Tuffy so much I have no desire to upgrade. |

Location: Rockford MN | I guess I'll have to give my opinion, even though I want to just bite my lip when I read things like this.
1st Tuffy Boats is a business, and most compaines NEED to make a profit! While some feel they are not getting "worth" just what are you worth to Tuffy? Indeed we would all love to get paid and get boats for free, but in the real world we are just fishermen. Tuffy boats NEVER claimed to be a super power in the boat industry, they have however up'd there stake in the walleye market. They are producing new boat models with some very attractive features and at a competive price.
Each guy that comes to Tuffy looking for a boat is worth so much to them. Some compaines have huge pro-staffs, others small ones. The bottom line is, there is only so much "money" they can throw around. Other compaines adjust prices based on the number of guys they have on a Pro team.
No matter how much money boat compaines throw at anglers, the grass is always greener on the other side! Someone looking for the "money" can chase it around the boat world for about 5 years. Then when it's all dried up for them, where are they going to turn? "You can only burn so many bridges before the whole turns on you" Bottom line is, yes there are compaines out there willing to give guys a money deal but in the end, meaning when the contract is over where do they turn to next? There are a ton of guys on pro-staff programs from many boat compaines, FEW of these guys really help move company product! Most think they should get something for nothing. If you own a business are you going to pay someone to just own your product line? NO I would'nt either. If you pay someone you expect return on that investment. Getting a boat deal is asking a company to believe in you and what you can offer them, then delivering what you promised.
Fishermen are not "Mike Jordan" or "Tiger" compaines are not going to give us 5 mil a year to say we drive a boat!
This is my 2 cents on the whole $$$$ and cents of boat compaines. Take it as you may-

No wonder he's a former pro staffer, sounds like they made the right decision there! |

Where is that Appleton Boat Show held at the week end?
The appleton boat show starts friday afternoon and runs through sunday. If you follow hwy. 41 north to Ballard rd. take the exit, turn left over the hwy to the first light, that is evergreen. Turn right and it is about 2 miles down on the right hand side, just past French rd. There will be signs. The place is called Fox Valley Fair. I am taking a Tuffy 2006 2060 DS and a 1700 Esox. I think some of you guys will be pleasantly surprised with the changes.

| Gordy,I'm sorry if a left the wrong impression. As mentioned,I am a Tuffy owner and have the highest regard for the product and have been treated well by the company. My boat has had only operator error related problems.I have recommended Ospreys to many folks, have taken people for test drives and new Tuffies were purchased. I was told things that I will keep to myself regarding stinginess.Hopefully attitudes have changed at Tuffy and you'll prove me wrong.
May you and Tuffy have a long, fruitful relationship.

| Good news for you on selling the 205, X. Nothing new here, other than I am working on getting my ad in the classifieds on MuskieFirst. I am having conversations on a new boat. Not sure exactly where this is going to take me, but it is pretty fun doing this again. |

| Hey i fish bass tourny's too and ride a crestliner.Crestliner rules the glass lakes and shallows and nothing beats there smooth ride over ripples on the water.I have been in every boat that man ever made and nothing beats a crestliner for my money! |
