jerry,

There's been few people on the lake and even fewer getting a good look at sturgeon. Only 114 have been registered after 10 days of spearing. Between the poor ice conditions, the snow, the bitter cold and the 3'-5' visibilty it's been a poor year.

Where i have my shanty off fishermans road, there is an unbelievable amount of shad constantly swiming through the hole, and there are a few dead ones on the bottom right under me, other than that the hold is bare as far as any other fish down there

Jerry,

We started off south of Wendt's and did not see many shad or anything else. Water clarity was 6-7 ft. Moved Across the lake south of Pipe and had better clarity and saw lots of dead and alive shad. Had (2 ) 24-26 inch walleyes swim through the hole on Saturday. They left a cloud of silt as they spooked out. DS
