Location: Manitowoc, WI | I was just wondering how the sturgeon spearing season is going? I haven't seen any reports or pictures as of yet. Are you seeing alot of shad? Anybody spotting any nice walleyes? Perch? Buehler.....anyone.....Buehler....anyone??? |

There's been few people on the lake and even fewer getting a good look at sturgeon. Only 114 have been registered after 10 days of spearing. Between the poor ice conditions, the snow, the bitter cold and the 3'-5' visibilty it's been a poor year. |

| Where i have my shanty off fishermans road, there is an unbelievable amount of shad constantly swiming through the hole, and there are a few dead ones on the bottom right under me, other than that the hold is bare as far as any other fish down there |

We started off south of Wendt's and did not see many shad or anything else. Water clarity was 6-7 ft. Moved Across the lake south of Pipe and had better clarity and saw lots of dead and alive shad. Had (2 ) 24-26 inch walleyes swim through the hole on Saturday. They left a cloud of silt as they spooked out. DS |
