What do you guys think for ice out on the river? I have spring break the last week of March. Do you think that the ice will be gone by then, or should I bring up some ice fishing gear for the back waters. How is the snow? Does it look like a potentially good spring water level? I am dying to get up there and find out.

My crystal ball says all ice will be gone well before your break.

The river is locked up and guys are fishing the river through the ice. Extreme caution is advised if you're going to attempt icefishing the river.

I agree, most likely it'll be open by the end of march. But nothing is a given when it comes to Ma nature. If it's not open, You can bet that Depere will most likely be open.

Snow? we could use some more on the ground to help fill up the river. There's plenty of snow to the north of us so that should be a big help. Hopefully it'll be another good year.
