| went out yesterday on pool 4. caught a few fish. Took a rookie out and finally let him use my rods he did allright after that otherwise i dont beleive he could feel the bite. Then after we finished fishing, the rookie got the truck and I loaded my boat, he pulled me out of the water like normal but then the **** hit the fan. I get out of the boat and walk to my truck to find the doors locked, the truck running and less than a 1/4 tank of gas. So i called AAA, after spend a 1/2 hour talking to them the phone disonnects. Man am I starting to get steamed now because the ladie didnt't even take down the street name where I was located.
So in the meantime I call again on hold for 5 minutes, meanwhile taking a fishing pole and try to get the door unlocked by sliding in the door,( left ajar to make this possible ) , finally get another lady on the phone (takes another 15 minutes) and she finally asks where I am located. Now its been 1 hour and 15 minutes with the truck running I must ad, when she says some one will be there no late than an hour. Wow, I thought to myself if this truck is still running by the time someone gets here i will be surprised. So after 35 minutes longer along came a tow truck. Took him a whole 2 minutes or less to get me in. Then got in truck and luckily made it to the gas station in Redwing. The tank took 25.7 gallons and I swear I have a 26 gallon tank. Some advice for everyone, If ya take someone else fishing with ya take you extra key and put in your pocket so you dont have to go through what I did. |

Location: Lake City MN | Hey Denver, congrates on your finish in the FYB tourney. A friend and I spent that afternoon on the water and had a tough time finding any decent eyes although we did put some nice saugers in the boat towards sunset. I did the same thing with the doors locked and the truck running at the backchannel landing last year. The door was only half shut and I ended up being able to get at the lock with the handle off of a minnow bucket. Believe me I now have a key stashed, my only problem is that I forget where I stashed it.

Location: Chicago IL. | I keep a spare set in my pocket and a extra one in the wallet. We always have 2 sets with us. One for the guy backing in the trailer, the other for the guy in the boat. Couple of times it has paid off already. |
