Location: Oshkosh | June 17 is the scheduled date for this years outing. We are looking for volunteers or donations for door prizes. If you are interesed in sponsoring the even please get a hold of me through email or through the website.
This is an event to help introduce kids into fishing by teaching them the basic fundementals along with the biology and how important it is to preserve out resources. DNR biologists will be on hand with fyke nets and different species of aquatic plants and insects that make up the lakes in the area.
For more information and to check out what we did last year visit the website at www.reelintheyouth.com
If you have kids that are 15 and under bring them out for the day!! After the event stay the kids can all head to the water slide and heated swimming pools to burn off some more energy!!

Location: Fox Lake, Illinois | Are you looking for pros to fish with kids, and if so, would we need to bring our boat? I'm surprised that there have been no responses. There is nothing better that to see a kid catch his/her first fish. |

Location: Oshkosh | We are looking for volunteers to do just about anything. If you would like to bring your boat out and assist us with taking kids out on the boats to fish that would be great too! Otherwise, there will be casting contests, mini seminars on how to tie knots and how to cast, and a shoreline full of kids fishing!
My number to reach me at regarding the event is 920-230-FISH. Leave me a message if I do not answer.
I agree that once you participate in an event like this you will never experience a better high no matter how much that other weed costs or how big that last tournament win was. It is something every fisherman should partake in at least once to find out how awesome it is!

| Shep, It's a ball! There's nothing better than seeing a kid catch a fish, We had numerous kids holding their first fishing pole last year and catching their first fish!
Troy puts in a lot of hard work on this one! We had over 100 kids from accross the country last year and thanks to his sponsors and the others that donated we were maxed out on equipment, we are looking at this to double in size this year!
Some of the things I think he could use are the basics, Bobbers, Hooks, Sinkers (thats my job. retying), and a few more volunteers! Give him a call or leave a note here if your interested in helping out in any way!
Good Luck

Location: Fox Lake, Illinois | The funniest thing to see is a kid picking up a leech. (or trying to) I'm going to do my best to get up there for the day and will let you know asap. Always good to have a women that fishes in the crowd, helps encourage the girls. |

| TTT, looks to be a full event, free T-shirt to the first 150 registered and we're almost there, Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers that have contributed to this point. We will have a wrap up after and don't fret if you haven't participated yet, you have a few days to give us a shout! It takes a lot of work to get 200 kids set up for an afternoon of fishing.
If your interested in bringin out the family everyone is welcome, bring nothing but big smiles and your own sunscreen!
Good Luck
