| For those of us that take the annual pilgrimage to the Wolf, we need to know about the ice. Can someone provide us with how the ice is? |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Here is the weds. 3-15-06 report. The river in fremont is 1/3rd open right down the middle. the shore ice is very strong yet. Gills landing is the same as fremont. Guths still had ice all the way across. The shore line ice breaks off little by little creating a steady stream of ice floes and then they pile up. Last night the river crusted back over with shell ice and with the sun its opening back up now at noon. The river will not be usable this weekend. I will update next week again. |

Will be looking forward to the report. Hoping for a wolf/depere weekend. No problems with depere. Wolf on the other hand still dicey. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | What 1 night can make. The river at orihula was froze over yesterday and it has open slightly today. The shore ice is slowly breaking up. If things keep up, mid next week and next weekend should see some pretty decent running with a boat. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | And the saga continues. This morning I took a drive and there is still shelf ice, but its minimal. If you are cautious and use good judgement. you could fish this weekend.

| I was in Fremont this morning. The river is pretty much open and there were a few boats out. Drove up to Gill's and it is open until the RR bridge and then appears pretty much full of ice. Didn't drive south of Fremont, but would guess it is fishable down too. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Got to work this am and the river is way open. There is shell ice and a few boats. The local chatter is that you can run from gills to the mouth. Be careful as there are still some large areas with shore ice. I will be out sunday checking it out first hand. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Still alot of ice flows, be careful running wide open as there is a lot that is just under the surface. The river is still frozen in newlondon so there will be more ice coming yet. Reports? Tarzan is the man, I worked instead of fished. How many did ya get on sunday? Make sure you save us some for the hahns tournament. Thats a good river tournament if anyone is looking for one on april-1st. |

| What do you think about the weekend? Should the eyes be ready to run? |
|
|
|
| NO. The pre spawn bite will produce some tugs on the line if you find the groups of fish but "the run" doesn't happen until post spawn. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | The run up river will start over the next 7 to 10 days and last for about 7 to 10 days. They will get in the marshes to spawn for the 3-5 days and then slow disperse the river. They are much easier to catch on the way back to the lake then the way up. The way back dates will be ABOUT the 15th of april, give or take 5 days. The river should have a STOUT population of male walleyes this spring, should be fun.

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I think there are fish in the river. I think you will need to search to find the roaming schools. It will be a good time for you to see the river and where eveyone is fishing. I think there will be PLENTY of people on the river this weekend. Fishing and not catching is still pretty good compared to almost anything else. |

| I heard ice is out at New London! |

| Ice is out in New London, lots of big chunks around to be aware of. Fish are in the deeper water as the water level has been dropping. More tomorrow, sleepy time now
