I have a friend that has just moved to Waterloo, Illinois and he wants to know where he can walleye fish around there. Any help would be appreciated. Skeeter/Nels

Wow,thats quite a move.

Mississippi River is good, but kinda tough that far south. Smithland Pool Ohio River (I think) onthe other side of the state is good. Lake of Egypt is smokin for bass and crappie. There are walleyes there but never targeted. I think rend lake is pretty close, but that crappie, bass and cats. Carlyle is close too. Evergreen lake up 39 is rumored to have to the next state record saugeye.
I think lake pittsfield on 106 is rumored to have a smokin walleye population.

Check on walleyeinsider. I remember reading a blip about the fantastic sauger feeshing in the arkansas. That should be a few hours away.

Plus check out the illinoisgameandfish magazine sight. Some good teeps there.
