Just looking for some in-put on this "all" around boat.

From what i can find there's 2 orther's (triton frontier, lund alaskan) boats that are real close in features.
Any thought's on this boat or the orther 2 ?.
I want this utility type boat to do it all...... ie duck hunt, fish, pleasure ride,work........ect.

thanks and look forward to your comments

To me, G3 is a newcomer to the market, I can't recall ever seeing a post about one anywhere until they decided to be a FLW sponsor earlier this year, so finding someone with experience with one in the walleye end of things migt be very difficult for a while.

G3 has been around since the early 90's. They were previously owned by Lowe. They build many different models of boats. I can get anyone who requests one a catalog, but until I experience more with the ride and layout, I'm reluctant to comment on their boats. If there boats are as good as their service and workmanship they will be a major player for years to come. They are committed to making great longlasting products.

Now that is a Pro's answer! Jerry, good to see a Pro give an honest, answer, not just the typical "I'm on the staff, and they make a great boat" answer. Happy for your new deal. Good luck at Detroit!

A co-worker at work just got a G3 16 footer and a 50 4 stroke. He had it out Saturday to break in, and he said it is a nice rig. Quiet, and got decent speed out of it. About 35 GPS.

I have had a chance to run the Triton Frontier, all I can say Is WOW!! Solid, non skid floor, a very durable feel all the way around. I to am a duck hunter and can see this boat in my future. Make sure you drive any of the boats you are looking to buy.

Thank's for the advice, and your thought's. I did price the lund and triton. triton being the most expensive of the 3 boats.
All 3 boats were priced with the same option's.

I bought one of these this winter. Traded in an Alumnacraft Yukon. Have had the boat for 3 months and just last night got it on the water for the first time. Was amazed at the smoothness and quietness of the 50hp Yamaha 4 stoke FI. Boat handled well - cornered good, smooth ride, very little spray. Didn't open up the engine since it's not broke in, but, would plane at about 38000rpm and planed quick. Seats were more comfortable than I expected.

Congratulations on the new rigs gentlemen. I had the opportunity to use my G3 V185F extensively last week at the Detroit River FLW and I coulnd't be more pleased. She handles the water well, she sticks down in the water while on plane and has a great layout. I can't wait to get her out on Green Bay or some other bigger water to see how she performs.

Plenty of power (had 3 guy's in her yesterday in 1-2') and it did great. Smooth dry ride and quiet also.
