Hey All,
I have fished most of the states famous walleye destinations over the years. Some were good and some were not so good.

What lake, or river is your opening day
narvana? How long have you been going there for opener? I myself think I found one of the best many years ago. I liked it so much, I moved there.

I really like the Nisswa area, with Gull and so many other good waters in easy reach. How's opener over on Vermilion? Average fish size? I've only fished it a couple times.

Hey Steve,
Vermilion is one of the best opening day lakes I've fished.

The fish are mostly males, however there are lots of them.

I can't remember the last time we didn't get a limit on the walleye opener, here on Vermilion.

I too love the Nisswa area. It is my home waters. I'll be working our tackle shop for opener, but the area should open good this year. Gull is loaded with walleyes. We have lots of fish in the 14-17 inch range with a few 20 plus mixed in. The fall and winter bite was awesome. Mille Lacs is a close drive too. If you guys are in the Nisswa area please stop in.
