| Fished last weekend with some success. I had luck anchored in 4 - 6 ft. of water pumping jigs (New London area). Caught 9 fish on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. All females released and still had spawn in them.
I heard that the fish are in the marshes the last couple of days. Any truth to this? Based on the water temperature (47 - 48) the last couple of days, I would saw this is true. Anyone think that the fish will release this weakend? I am hoping as I am going tomorrow. My thinking was to go to New London as this will be the first place they will show up and then it will take a couple of days to get to the Fremont area.
Any comments on this? |

| Sounds like a good plan.
Fished on wednesday evening for about 3 hours, me nor the neighbors had a single bite. Hopefully soon....this weekends cold temps aren't gonna help. |

| 80% of the fish today were spawned out only 1 fish under 19" Last night it was a 50/50 ratio and not as many.
Hint: get away from the crowds if your looking for bigger fish! Most came from current edges in the 10-12' depth. Water is pretty clear so use darker colored jigs.
Good Luck

| Are most drifting or anchored when the fish are coming back. I would think this entire next week should be great for catching those spawned out females. I would think the good days are just starting. What do you think? |

| Was out on Saturday with Mark Keenan, and our daughters, Lauren, and Lauren, both 10. Mark's new 621 is nice and big, and the Merc 225 Pro XS really pushed that boat along. I think it's a bit quieter than the 225 Opti.
We caught a bunch of fish in the river, but they were all small. All fish on a jig and minnow. Nothing on plastics. My Lauren had big fish of the day. Saw Fishingfool, and Rick, and Purple Skeeter. Was really nice to be out. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Fished the 3 days over the weekend. The results were meager to say the least. There are fresh females coming up and spent ones heading down. The males are no where to be found, they must be hanging in the spawning areas to harrass the chicks. The girls dont seem to be very aggressive when you do find them. Still wondering how many fish actually came into the river. We should find out in the next week or so. The rivers steady now but looks like it will be falling. That will push the fish in to the main channel. That will be fun for awhile. Unless a influx of water comes, Rain, the weekend of the 15th should have plenty of fish to go around.

| Fished Saturday up near the Little Wolf. In a 45 minute period of time we caught a 25", 23", 20" and 18" all spawned out females. After that, a few small ones. If I was smart I would have went down to the next bend and then the next and then the next to follow that school of fish. I must have seen a dozen fish caught within an hour and then nothing. Must have been a release of fish from the Little Wolf. That is why I fished there. Look for the next couple of days to be good as I know of a buddy who killed them in Shiocton today. |
