Fished where the Wolf dumps into Poygan, a little on Poygan and a ton of shore fishing from Winneconne. Probably 20+ hours of fishing to catch a handful of dink walleye (8-10') using a combination of jigs tipped with Medium Shiner, some with small pieces of crawlers, slip bobbering and some river rigs.

Throughout the weekend at the bait shops and on the boards there is a 50/50 split if whatever run there would be is over or if its just real late.

So what are your opinions? Where is the run at (in progress, not started or over)?

The run is far from over you just happen to pick a time when most walleyes are up river. Rule of thumb is" small walleyes are last to arrive and last to leave"there will be a fury of a bit in next 2-10 days and after that a good fishing til end of may or longer.

If the water keeps droppin they'll come flying back. Same thing with a big flush, like 2 inches of rain kind of storm. I've heard of quite a few fish in places that usually don't see them WAY up river and of pockets of fish working their way back. I have also gotten some credible reports of fish still spawning, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm middle of the month, full moon was when and "the run" has yet to happen. Wonder if a few days of rain during next week might push a few more back?

Fished Sunday from the mouth at Oshkosh, all the way to the mouth of the Wolf at Poygan. Caught like 4 8 inchers, some big whitebass, and a couple sheeps. I suppose I saw about 40-60 tourney boats. Does that mean the other 60 or so boats are farther up the Wolf? What about the Fox from Eureka? How come nobody is talking about that?

Lot's of pro's are struggling right now. But I bet it takes 15 lbs plus per day to win it. Come Wednesday, there will be guys on fish, and some good weights will be vrought to the scales.

My money is on Sir Richard!
