Location: Rhinelander | 40 degrees and moderate winds with a promise of rain were the weather conditions as the PWT Pros launched by the bridge in Winneconne, Wisconsin this morning ready to hit the River or Lake Winnebago for day one of the first regional PWT event in 2006. Showers are forecast for all three days, with high temps in the 50's.

Rumors of tough fishing were as common as those indicating one Pro or antoher was "on the fish." Some there felt it would take 15 pounds a day to win, others believed much lees weight would take home the $25000 check and brand new Lund/Mercuru rig.

Watch for the live leaderboard to fire up about 3PM this afternoon. The day one album will be up soon.

Location: Rhinelander | Definitely a tough bite, from what I heard on stage because many of the the fish are still out of reach, but moving down fast. Here's some images from this afternoon. Day two coverage begins tomorrow morning at dawn.

Thanks to Shep for breakfast, that was great, sir!

The Day One photo album is complete! Huge thanks to Stacker for hauling me around on the river this afternoon to shoot some photos, his 2060 Tuffy is a sweet ride.

Location: Rhinelander | He's in the hospital in Osh Kosh with a flu like complication to his diabetes. JK tells me he's doing OK, but is by no means well. |
