Location: Neenah Wi | Started out off Garlic Is.in the mud just outside the rocks pulling cranks for about an hour with only 1 13' fish and switched to harness' and did finally get 2 for supper but only just barely big enough.Ran out of crawlers and decided to try berkley gulp and did get a few small fish on it.Didn't mark much in between garlic and the bouy to the launch,as I got close to the rocks I started to get some smaller fish again. |

| I have been fishing the past few days. The east side all in close to shore. Pulling spinners on the rocks. Mainly dinks and a few bigger fish worth keeping here and there. I know some guys are on them some place, they always are. We will have to keep trying to find them. GOOD LUCK |

Location: OSHKOSH, WI | Are you guys that are pulling harnesses using snap weights of any kind or just hitting the top part of the water column. I know on Green Bay they are pulling the harnesses right near the surface even in deep water because the fish are liking the warmer water, Bob |

Location: McFarland, WI | I was also out today pulling harnesses with a 1 oz snap weight 15-25 down and 25 back. Lots of fish out about 3 miles in front of the river and south. Also found fish in 17-18 feet on the east side. Managed 6 fish 15-17(3 for the pan) and lots of 11-14 inchers. Speed ranged from 1.5-1.8 with silver blades the best. Talked with several people having similar luck with cranks in those areas. |

| I was out on thursday and only had one 11" perch, and a few sheepshead, but it sounded like noone had really caught anything. Back out today (Friday) and ended up having a few sheepshead off the east shore and a few eyes but they were small, threw all but one back that i kept because we grilled out a salmon today so i put the fillets in with that, not to bad, all the eyes caught today were on rapalas, couldn't buy a bite on anything else. |

Location: OSHKOSH, WI | Sorry to be asking this kind of dumb question but what does all the 15-25 feet down and 25 feet back mean. My interpretation of that is there is 25 feet between the harness and the weight and then another 25 feet from the weight to where you hook up the board. The last part of line I get it is not important except for how far out from the boat you want the board. Right? Bob |

Location: Neenah Wi | I was using 1oz bottom bouncers. But snaps work along with rubber core sinkers etc.I really don't think the kind of weight doesn't make that much difference. The depth is more important along with color and speed.I was going 1.1-1.5 and 1.25 seemed to be the best. What size blades are you guys running?I was using #4 colorado's.I know sooner or later I'll find some bigger fish just a matter of time. The 25 is how far the harness is from the snap weight and the 15-25 is from the weight to the board.

Location: McFarland, WI | I was using 5, 6, 7 blades but most fish came on hammered 6 silver. I did idle the kicker periodically so baits would drop and then speed up and climb again. A couple fish hit on the drop. Risor is right on any weight that gets bait in the fish zone will work |

| I was out trolling the mud this morning for a while off of calumet county park. Not much to show for it. Ended up with one 15" walleye and a bunch of trash fish. |

| I pulled spinners in the mud today. Caught 12 eyes all were around 14" with a 18" and 16" also. Caught a bunch of sheep head and some big white bass also. I was fishing alone and the two bigger ones came as a double hit. If I would of had 6 rods maybe it would have been more. |

| I fished a whole lot the past 4 days. I figure I put about 40 hours on the water this past few days with very little to show for it. I tried slip bobbers on the rocks for awhile but found the water was too clear. Cranks over the rocks and just outside of the reefs produced very few results but did manage 4 saugers that looked like they came out of a 8" cookie cutter which is nice to see.
Tried the mud south with both cranks and harnesses. Sheephead and a few dinks to show for it. Tried harnesses off Stockbridge about a half mile out and did finall manage a 15" inch walleye on a harness. Got me thinking about going back over the spot with cranks which I did with no results.
Tried trolling cranks in the area of Long Point and Abrahams...again..a few sheeps.
As much as I hate to admit this I actually drifted with a lindy rig near and on long point and came up with a big zero as well.
Tried the mud off Brothertown to fishermans road with the same techniques and also cam up very poorly and going into Saturday, I had only one walleye over 15 inches and only about 5 dinks to show for it.
Fished Sat in a local tourney following some info provided by some friends as we had nothing going. After running harnesses in the mud for six some odd hours...we did end up with a 23" 4.25 pound walleye and a 16" fish which gave a combined weight of 5.99 # far short of what was needed to cash but better than we had been doing or coming up with. seems some had found the winning pattern and location as there were some good weights and large fish caught from what I saw and heard from other tourneys.
So theres always next time and changing conditions and we all have the same conditions to fish under. Who ever finds the winning pattern and location will do well. I guess it doesnt really matter how much fishing you do sometimes. "Right place at the right time" my dad always said!
Take care all and anyone willing to share whats working on here ...thanks for the reports.

Location: Orland Park, IL | Try tomahawk copper with no snap weight, high in the water column. You just might be surprised! |
