I have a Uniden Marine Radio. I was out yesterday and could receive calls, but not transmit. The mike is in tight and the transmit light comes on when I push the button to talk. Anyone know of a good electronics repair facility in the Fondy area?

Thanks.
Dave.

Well, after soooo many replies I broke down and picked up a new VHF Marine Radio. Cabela's and Fleet had a nice Lowrance unit for $99.00. I found the same unit at Sportsman's Warehouse in West Bend for $89.00 and I had a $10 coupon, so I picked it up for $79.00. The $20 I saved on the unit got me a few more jigs and some accessories.

I just sent mine back to the factory, I had the same problem as you. They said they did a mic update. It works , they charged me shipping.

Thanks for the info. I'll get a hold of Uniden and see what they say. If nothing else, I have a backup unit now.
