| I am sure somebody was probably ragging on him about and Gano's information (like THAT is a big secret). People make me laugh. Don't let people get to you Skeeter, you are the best poster on this site! |

Location: Rhinelander | Something did. He told me he had taken some email flak for the detail he went into in an effort to help folks catch a few fish on the Winnebago system, and that he felt this WalleyeFIRST's traffic is mostly 'Pros'. I answered that I was certain many folks used and appreciated his assistance and reports, that we are proud of the 'community' we build on Walleye, Muskie, Salmon, and IceFIRST and that the community certainly contained some Pros, but was MOSTLY guys like me; just anglers looking for good conversation and a good day on the water.
I also said I felt it was a shame he no longer is comfortable here. I read every one of his posts, and enjoyed them. |

Sorry to hear that anybody was giving you flack for being a stand up guy. I personally appreciate the info you give on this site. I've passed on some of the basics that you've provided to some first timers to help get them started. You've done an A+ job on this site and your posts and insight will be missed by many.

| Bite by the internet bug huh? It's silly enough that you had to take it personal to the extent of removing your posts? Some people just don't get it Skeet! I don't understand why you deleted the info? Why would you do that? Probably the same reasons Dan left WC or Doc removed the Wolf threads? Don't let your head get biger than the rest of your body and don't pay any attention to those that post negative comments. Some people just have no clout and don't know how to handle conflict!

Location: Neenah Wi | Well looks like the "this is my lake " people got another one.I just love those kind of people that say let them figure it out themselves. How far would you have gotten if everyone told you the same.Show me one person who did not get where they are without getting some sort of help from someone.Well Skeeter I will never let someone get me to remove or stop posting.I think that is exactly what they were trying to do and they succeded in that.I hope you will keep posting and not let these jerks get the best of a very good and respected individual like yourself.Give me a call I'll be off this whole week and would like to meet you.E-mail [email protected] Oh yeah one more thing put the jerks e-mail up so the rest of us can send a few comments to the idiot.Or at least who the jerks are.

| To "The Internet", you're a piece of work. An unsigned post taking shots at people is crap, and only someone with the IQ of a gnat would lump past situations together with Purple Skeeters move today. IF you have any, grow some hair and sign your name to your post. Since you don't, blow it out your posterior whistle.
Purple Skeeter, don't blame you, but I like many other's enjoy your information. There are few real Pro's that come to this site, mostly wannabe's and those who fish local events, (which seems to be every weekend). I agree, post the email address of the jerk, or jerks, so others can respond directly. The real Pro's are fishing in events in other locations so why would anyone but a local bag of wind care what kind of detail you are giving, so I for one hope you come back. |

Location: Omro,Wi. | First off I'll say that people like Purple Skeeter are hard to come bye. With all the people on this site that fish this system FEW will post their spots or baits. I don't know why he removed his posts, hopefully he'll tell us. I was posting regular on here a year or so ago, and to be honest when I gave out locations there wasn't really an increase in boat traffic in my areas. Most people put in the time and find fish on their own, but some follow the crouds, and others get their info from the message boards. The internet is a great tool, but it also has it's down sides. You can't belive everything you read. If someone finds the school of fish I'm on and posts it for everyone, I understand and move on. It sure isn't a personal assault on me, just dumb luck they found them, and can type. Some people think they OWN the school, or rock pile they fish, and can get quite upset if others come into their area. Hopefully PS will shrug it off and continue to help the ones that need it and forget about the cry babies if thats what it's all about. I also got some pretty personal responces like notes on my windshiel, and calls from people not man enough to give me their names, threatening to flatten my trailer tires Etc. I still post when I can, but I'm not going to do it during the tournament times, just because the one big fish someone may catch inmy spot could be the one I needed. Now if anyone wants to fish the mud flats I'll say the secret is High 2 to 5 feet down, and Slow. You guys figure out the baits and colors. Good Luck |

| Sorry Skeeter a few people have to ruin it for the whole crew. I enjoyed hearing your quests to catch fish...man you put your time in. 6 hours is enough for me on the water...that is your half day and sometimes not even that. Feel free to message me if you want a partner on the water, FLY |

| Those vthat know me and know that I tell it like it is and how I'm getting fish right down the minute detail know that I have stopped posting like Skeeter and only do it ocassionally. We try to get info out but get slammed and so why fight it. |

Location: Orland Park, IL | Too bad. A good resource has been wasted. Skeeter first got me interested in trolling or at least trying it. Being a novice, there are a few of us good eggs, who believe karma and a bit of luck and skill will get you fish. Sure everyone wants to catch fish, but how many sources does a guy have for getting a bit more info about a technique? None. I guess thats what being a co angler is all about, learning.
You know who else is a smokin poster, Walleye Express - Dave. But since he is in michigan no threat right.
Time to load up on the $5 walleye videos at fleet farm. Maybe I can learning something watchin them. Yeah, right.
And you know what I am going to miss the most about skeeter? You can send a note, ask a question, and you get a straight answer. Same way with Dave. |

| Dominic, don't let those unicks win! I get lots of "fan" mail, but never really read it. Some of it is funny, as you can tell by writing style, and spelling who is writing it. I certainly am not going to let them ruin my participation here.
You helped a lot of people who come to this site for good info. It's too bad a few morons have to act like this, and piss you off. You gave good solid info, without giving exact locations. Anyone who sent you a nastygram for that isn't worth a second thought. He's certainly not a pro. Truthfully, there aren't many pros that post on any sites anymore, and I know of just two that post regularly here. Jerry and Gordy, and I'm sure neither of those two great guys would do anything like described. So, it's just a couple nutless wonders, who think they need to limit information about "their" lake.
Please don't let them get to you, Purple Skeeter. In fact, I suggest you post more info! Just let us know who these morons are, and they'll be dealt with. We'll sick RangerPat on them!

| IT is a shame some people have to ruin it for the rest. Some people never grow up and when they get off their trojan horse maybe we will have someone like Purple SKeeter report again if he doesn't himself |

| Purple Skeeter, sorry to hear you pulled your info. I really liked your info and I am upset that some #@%#%$^%$ would condemn you for posting. Unfortunately I know the feeling, I quit posting on another Walleye site becuase I too was chastized for some correct info I gave that conflicted with someone else's bogus info. Hang in there Skeeter, I hope you come back soon. If you don't, have a great time fishing and be proud of all the help you gave people visting this site.

| I have been away from the board for a week or so and everything goes to heck.
I do not know what sort of dopes are causing all the havoc, but I did enjoy reading PSkeeters posts and enjoying his success and sometimes lack thereof.
You may get tired of the flak from others and I understand why you wonder why you should bother trying to help others? Don't be a total stranger, many of us will miss your updates.
I wish I have something to post this year, but I have not found a pattern to anything that would be helpful.
Take care,

Location: Oshkosh, WI | Between 6-21 and 7-1 Purple Skeeter initiated six threads that generated 5400 views and 82 replies - two of these posts had nothing to do with fishing information, but with the spirit and fun of fishing. I don't mean to be sentimentel, but this is what being an outdoorsman is about. For a variety of personal reasons I had my boat out once since May 1, but I read these posts and enjoyed them.
Apparrently, someone out there thought that was bad for THEM that PS was posting specific information and decided to be crappy about it. How are you justifying yourself now?
I imagine it sounds something like:
"He gave out information about "my" spot, other people should have to find their own fish, just like I did" If that is the best you can do, you don't get it. My guess is that there are many other things in the world that you don't like, where you arrogantly feel like you have all the answers, where the 'ignorance' of others pisses you off - well good luck justifying yourself, I hope you enjoy your secret spots and good luck after your heart attack. |

Location: Appleton, WI | Purple Skeeter gave the best reports of anyone on this site in my opinion. Though, there are alot of others that do a good job too! It was very helpful to me. I found the fish by myself but used his techniques in doing so and I want to thank him personally for that. It's a huge body of water and the fish are everywhere.
To the winny baby that pissed him off....go find another sport. Why would you in the right frame of mind, piss a guy off that gives valuable information?? I for one hopes he comes back and starts posting again because I really enjoyed reading what he had to say.
Purple Skeeter you should come back and start posting again to piss the guys off that are whinning like 2 year olds. You will get the last laugh then. Don't let someone beat you at what you do best!! Thanks for all the reports!!!!!

internet.
I left WC because a moderator deleted close to 100 pictures I had posted on my own personal picture file. He did so because the titles of same stated that the pictures were of clients of my charter service. The reason given for their removal was that they broke the advertising rules of the board, even though you'd have to access my own personal pictures to view them. He also removed several personal pictures of my wife and deceased father. That part was claimed to be a mistake, and I believe it was.
WC had/has a few rules I find hard to understand and abide by, and decided to remove myself for the future sake of all. There is no hard feelings on my part about what happened, yet I won't tell you that I'm not overly sensitive about certain things, as I think PS is as well. Hard to understand why somebody would beg for a free cup of coffee and then dump it out. Or chum up to you until he got the info needed, and then slam you for sharing the same info with others. I have in my personal PC files close to 100 thank you E-mails I have recieved over the last couple of years from complete strangers or fellow board users for sharing ideas and info about fishing. I'm posting the last one I recieved just this morning below. These type E-mails keep me on track and knowing what I'm doing is the right thing to do. I also have a file with about 20 HATE E-mails from people not to excited about my sharing ideas. When the hate mails get larger then the Thanks you's, I'll be gone as well.
Dan, just wanted to send you a personal email thanking you for your updates and help on the message board.
After many years, I'm finally back on the water, and learning to fish the bay again. I grew up perch fishing Wild Fowl bay with my GRandfather, and after he passed when I was a teen, I havent fished that bay much since. I finally got another boat, and weather permitting I can get out on Saginaw once again.
I am trying to get better at puttin some 'eyes in the boat, and enjoying every minute of it.
I've talked to too many folks who for whatever reason want to keep thier fishing knowlege a secret, your tips and so forth are greatly appreciated.
Good fishin to you.
