Location: Rhinelander | It's warm here, and the weather is forecast to be alot warmer over the next couple days. The anglers have been out since early this morning under mild winds and warm but not horrible temps, and partly cloudy skies.
Look for the WalleyeFIRST Live Leaderboard at about 3 PM, and a full day one report and images this early evening.
Bill Ortiz and Rick Franklin are at a statistical dead heat in the Iron Man....this portion of the WWR carries some considerable clout and offers a couple VERY valuable prizes, too. Stowmaster/E-cell have stepped up as sponsors, look for more announcements on sponsors and prizes soon. | |

Location: Rhinelander | The bite was off here from prefishing highs from all reports mostly because the current was slower today. According to most of the Pros during Onstage interviews this afternoon, they are hoping for not alot of wind and more current for tomorrow. The heat didn't seem to be much of a factor with the bite, but it was pretty brutal out there today and is supposed to be even warmer tomorrow and oven-like Friday.
It sounds like quite a few of the fish weighed today came from above the trees, out in the deep water. There's a large portion of the field with betwen 10 and 12 pounds, so this one is still wide open.
It's a no-cull, seven fish in the well and only 2 over 20.
