Stacker,
I heard through the grapevine that 10 lbs. won it and another team had 5 lbs. and it went downhill from there. I talked to one of the teams up in the wolf on Saturday and they said most boats went toward bago from winneconne at takeoff.

23 or 24 boats, only 8 boats brought in fish, of those, 6 brought in fish both days. 14+ pounds I believe was the winning weight, they had 10+ day one and 4 something day 2.

The only biters found were near current. The mouth of the Fox in Oshkosh had the winning bite. That team caught their fish on flies! They really put it on every one. I never thought that the fish on the rock in Bago would not go we had good wind both days. Second place was up river just out side Partridge Crop, slipping current with jigs and crawlers. They did not have the numbers but had big fish both days and a total of 4 fish for about 13#. We did all we know to do at this time of year and boated 8 eyes total all under 14".

Some times your the bug sometime the windshield. Windshield time!

With only twenty-some boat in a tournament, how many teams does the WWA send to Cabelas NTC?? Seams like with that few boats they shouldnt sent more than 1 or 2. Just curious?

Just bad timing for your first trip - come back any time from mid May to mid July.

We did well in August too this year but that is the latest I've fished Bago, by then I've usually turned my attention to the Bay.

Good job to the winners and everyone who caught keepers and undersized fish. Extremely difficult period to get anything consistent going out there plus having nasty weather must have been miserbale out there!LOL
