Well, was out with the 5yo. Had a blast perch fishing the east side. Plenty of boats plenty of fish. Took some sorting, but kept a few in the 9-11 inch range. Most, were, around 9. Nice and plump.

Back to the rivers for awhile for me. IWT starts up at the end of the month

If you were going to target perch, why don't you just go to Lake Michigan around Waukegan. The fish are much larger you usually take home 10"-14" ers. but the limit is only 15, but the size of the fillets well makes up for it.

Yep, LM has some nice perch. Personal best was just over 16 inches. Now, they are not as wide, IMHO. Plus, breakin the 5 yo in on the boat. So, me, 5yo, the trailer in pipe, and mom gets a couple of days off. Win, win bubba. And when mommas happy, EVERYBODIES happy.
