I'm in the midst of writing a couple of Powerpoints for seminars for the upcoming show and seminar season. While I was writing I began to think about potential subjects, topics, techniques, and other information that gets passed during these seminars.

I would like to know what everyone likes to hear in a seminar? What do you take from these speakers? Is there a particular style of speaker that is better than others? Do you prefer teaching seminars or seminars that give out information like locations, specific information on a particular body of water, fish migration information, and the local hot technique for a specific body of water? Is there something that a particular speaker did at his/her seminar that stood out and you will not forget that information? Is there something you didn't like?

OH YA Jerry you just try giving out coords! Just kidding, presentation presentation presentation, baits that is, oh and a bit about how to best utilize a few hours on the water be it morning mid day or evening and what you look for in weather, we all know a good clear day with a 10mph wnw wind will troll up a limit of fish but be honest and tell everyone that if it's blowin any harder to stay home (more for me)

Good Luck

The most asked question I get is how do I pick apart a new lake. How do you look at a map, and prioritize your spots to work, how do you work those spots, how do you decide on presentaions to try.

I think this would be a great topic for you to present. I'm sure you'd do a great job, too.

I like the seminars where I am able to take home information on the HOW, the WHERE, and the WHY of any presentation. That sort of information leads to a better understanding of the technique being discussed, and allows me to take that info to the lake and give it a try.
