Esox.
In my humble opinion you've just posted on what might be the best source of new and old walleye info anywhere. There are guys posting here from virtually every corner of the walleye world, some more willing to share then others, but with good info you can learn and use in real time and not a month after the fact. You may have to put up with some Internet mellow drama sometimes, from guys not as passionate about fishing or simply out to cause trouble. But for the most part, a good group of savvy guys. |

Location: Orland Park, IL | Jeez, I thought it was a thread where I can get a beer, sandwich, and talk walleye. A walleye pub.
Second the walleye insider. Very information. Also recommend consideration of the FLW Walleye League. You get to see some techniques up close and personal. Plus listen to Dan above. very informative. Gonna make my way to saginaw one of these days. |

I do have a suggestion that will speed up your learning curve a bit... Try doing one or more of the FLW Walleye League events in your home state or where one is close. You can get paired up with knowledgeable boaters who will help you learn, hands on...
Also, you might try to hook up with a Pro for the PWT or FLW Tour (and League) prior to any of those tournaments, pre fishing. All it might take is a post here and on other walleye sites asking for a chance to prefish, just offer to share expenses for the day and you should get some interest.
I have found that those, and hiring a guide for a day are great ways to speed up the learning curve. |

Location: Elgin, Illinois | Oh, and a great Walleye Pub.... Try the Falling Rock north of Prairie Du Chien... Beer is cold and the food is good... and the lies... I mean stories... well better than either the beer or the food... And, they usually have Willow Cats... LOL |

Location: LaCrosse, WI | I don't know of too many Walleye pubs but I have drank cans of beer that had pictures of Walleyes on them. The City Beer here in LaCrosse, WI use to have a picture of a Walleye on it. For some reason, it kind of tasted like an uncooked Walleye.
Needless to say, I didn't drink too many more of those. After tasting it, I thought they should've put a picture of a Willow Cat on it, it kind of stung like that the next day. |

| Walleye Insider is OK, not as good as it use to be. FLW Walleye magazine is a more informative magazine. |

| Walley Pub = Paynes Point.
Great Burgers, good beer, great Walleye Conversation when Dale and Viking are there!
I think I'm going to go there for lunch today!
