Marty Posted 12/20/2006 7:33 AM (#49764) Subject: Little Bay de Noc, Wednesday Dec. 20. update, Member Posts: 198 Location: Gladstone, Michigan 49837 a late afternoon ride up and around the upper Bay seeing actually several anglers off the north end corner north and east of Days River. Ice thickness varying from 3 inches and less (along with open-water spots) so still really unsafe. Off the Kipling Launch, talking with one of the local DNR wardens he also reported talking with several anglers saying the same with thin ice. There have been several permanent shanties been pushed out again, JUST USE GOOD COMMON SENSE! Daytime temps. today in the 40's with south winds blowing 10 to 20 mph. This mornings temps. at the "Shoreline Sports Center" at 32' right now with a beauty of a sunrise coming over the east shore.
