Location: Manitowoc, WI | I was reading a post on another website and I thought it would be fun to start such a thread.
Give us a list of your best "forgot its".
Here's mine:
1. All the way up to LBDN, I glance over at Marge and Gary Pelkey as I pass them entering Escanaba. I see the locators on the console and it hits me.....I forgot to bring my locator and GPS.
2. Same thing, two years later, same place. Yes, I learn quickly.
3. Got in my gun stand, reached into my backpack, pulled out my .270 bullets and realized NO CLIP!!! I made my pump into a single shot. Fortunately I only needed one bullet.
4. Lake Erie PWT, day 3 of my first PWT, I got to the launch and realized I left my locator and GPS in my hotel room. I love a mad scramble!!!
5. Bow hunting license three times that I can remember.
6. Gun hunting license once.
7. Hunting boots once.
8. And how could I forget last year's first time out with my new G3.....left the straps and transom saver bracket on when I went to launch the boat.
My all time favorite, and this isn't by me, is a good friend fishing the PWT forgot his boat back at his hotel room. He managed to drive about 25 miles to the launch and was in line to launch when he either realized he didn't have his boat or another competitor asked him where it was. TRUE STORY!!!
Remember, the average human makes 6-10 mistakes per hour.

Location: Chicago IL. | HAHAHA I did a few of those but never FORGOT the boat!!!!! I forgot the net at a tourney and realized it with a big fish on. No rain gear on a bad day. Did the transom strap thing. BUT the best was I didnt unhook the bow and my partner backed me in , saw the boat start to float and pulled out with the boat back on the trailer to the parking lot. The look on his face when he got out of the truck was priceless.

Location: Appleton wi | I rememeber years ago before the wife and I were blessed with 2 great kids a friend calls and say's let go fishing we are just killing them. All excited I left work early and we were out on the water by 2. We werent out there for 10 minutes and i pulled the first walleye in and soons as i unhooked the fish i soon realized it was my wedding anniversey and i had a dinner date at 5 with my lovely wife. My buddy dropps me off while shaking his head. With my tail between my heads legs i rush home and put everything away so she would think i was waiting for her. Nneedless to say i made it home before she did and she never knew!LOL

Location: Jackson, Wisconsin 53037 | Jerry, my first PWT at winneconne this past year. I got to the launch, jumped in the boat, had my co-angler start backing me in, and I forgot the boat keys back in the hotel room. Since then I always keep a spare in the truck, and another secret spot in the boat. I was just a little embarrassed.
Going bowhunting, drove up for a afternoon hunt, got all dressed, got my bow, but my arrows were sitting at home. Made for a short hunt.
Got home from a tournament last year, cleaned out the boat, couple days later my wife wanted to go to bago, so me, my wife and daughter go up there, all my rods were still at home, she at least got a boat ride out of that one.
Went up for the last weekend of gun season one year, were in a shotgun area. I get out, get dressed, get my 12 guage out, and all I brought were my wifes 20 guage slugs. The bad part of it is, I didnt realize it, until I put one in the chamber and it slid down the barrel. Quick run to town corrected that problem.

| I've put the boat down on plane a couple times with the kicker down.
Once, with the bowmount down.
One time after a long night of trolling after dark, I pulled lines and put the boat down on plane. Oooops! Still had a planer board out. Nothing like speed trolling at 30 mph.
I was taking friends water skiing many years ago and took off down the lake with the swim ladder still out. At least I think so because I never saw it again.
A couple summers ago I guess my partner "forgot" to hold on because he dropped my brand new Beckman into 300 fow with a 20lb salmon in it.
Had a buddy get a brand new T-8. First time out he couldn't believe how quiet it was. Especially when he made the 8 mile run back and realized he'd left the T-8 running out of water the whole time. Surprisingly, the motor has never missed a beat. I don't think he even changed the impeller. How's that for break in?

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Forgot my electronics once. Forgot to charge the trolling motor batteries after the Fort Fremont Marine Waleye Classic on the Wolf when we had our 1st Cabela's qualifier the next day on the river. Luckily still had plenty of juice for the day to take second place. Forgot what a big sissy I was when I went in for minor surgery earlier today. Everything went very well and I love that stuff they gave me to put me in la la land. Think I'm still there. Forgot my wife's B-Day this year which was on a Monday. I remembered to have the kids sign their cards on Sunday but forgot all about it on Monday. My Bad!
