Devils Lake in June. Number and big fish. Expect 50-100 fish a day and you can catch them aby way you like to fish. Pitching jigs, slip bobbering, rigging, casting cranks, trolling spinners or cranks, etc....it all works. An incredible fishery. I'll be ther for the FLW event in June and I can't wait to go back.

I agree with Jerry, Last year was the first year I fished Devil's Lake. It's an awesome fishery, he's not exagerating with the 50-100 fish days, and theey are footballs, just an example, I weighed one that was 24inches long, and was just shy of 8lbs.

Winnebago in June or July, all the fish you want. Now they might not be all 20 inchers, but if your looking for a great meal of 14-18 inchers, you should come to Bago, the WALLEYE CAPITAL!!!!!

Kirt, you can always email me when you plan on coming over to Green Bay. I can do some looking around for you on places to stay and maybe we can hook up when you get here. Any idea on a timeframe when you want to try the bay?

I had to reply to this one because I made my first trip to The Bay of Quinte (Canada) in late October this year and have to say I have never seen anything like it. Unbelievable, we had one that was 15 and several others over 12 in two and a half days. I would absolutely recommend this place for you monster hunters!

Kirt, Mid June to Mid July is a good time on Green Bay for an open water trolling bite. However, earlier in the year can also be productive. The Spring run on the Fox is good.

Moreyes,

Being a local I'd recommend Erie. Early April for near-reef trolling. Big fish (lots of 6-10# fish and occasional teenagers but the weather is dicey. November for Sandusky basin fish. Again-lots of 6-10# fish and occasional teenagers but again the weather can be a problem. June/July for 50+ fish days of 20-26" fish and typically great weather. This coming year will probably be the best number vs size year in a long time on Erie.

Another place I've been on the MWC the past two years that is awesome for size of walleye, diversity of species caught and overall beauty is Henderson Harbor, NY. Maybe farther that you want to travel, though!

Lake Ontario walleye are huge, I am lucky and get to fish Bay of Quinte 35 to 55 days every fall. B of Q is located on the North East shore of Lake Ontario across from Henderson Harbour and the fall walleye run is amazing. I was lucky to spend time fishing with Chase when he was up and it is great to see the excitement on anglers faces when they land doubles and triples of 12lb walleye.

If you get a chance to make a trip up to the Picton Ontario Canada area, you could be in for a catch of a life time.

From just south of Green Bay it took about 16 hours on the way back. We went through Chicago at like 2 in the morning so we shot right through. Otherwise it could take quite a bit longer. It was a long drive, but well worth it!

Chase, will you be working at the boat show in Appleton again? I'd like to ask you a few more questions, if you don't mind. Maybe catch up with you then? Thanks.

Green Bay is starting to sound interesting, after talking to a few of you.

I remember seeing a Fishing the Midwest segment in the past, what other species are available up there to fish for???
