Location: Rhinelander | Who's fishing the vast amount of open water across the midwest that is usually iced over in January? How's the bite been, and are you doing anything different as a result of time of year?
Crazy winter, this one. |

| Walleye fishing has been good through both the ice and open water thus far this year. Hopefully the Mississippi will continue the streak this weekend. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Anyone who has there boat out can run the wolf from fremont down. Keep eyes open for ice chunks and explore up river as well, you may find you can make it along ways. The bite has been good with smallish fish abundant, but biting. |

| Lovin' it! Whackin' and stackin' them like November. Cracked the 10# club three times in two days. One for the wall too! :) |

Location: Rhinelander | I am in Chicago at a show this weekend, and saw the open water line was about 30 miles south of Stevens Point on the way down. Cold weatehr this week should bring things back to almost normal to Madison, but i wonder if some of the lakes will ever ice over again in the midwest this 'winter'. |
