I Have an oppertuninty to get some 6500LC's, I know Abu Garcia flopped on there first shot at producing a linecounter.. but can anyone attest to this new reel???? Just looking for a good review from the the people that would know best.. I occasionly go piking with my walleye equiptment.. im hoping these reels can hold up to a 20lb pike.. any reviews or recommendations would be wonderful!

All 6000 series are a good bargin, i.e., cost and quality. Plus, you can easily break down, clean, repair and relube Abu 5000 and 6000 series reels. You can trick them out, too, adding fancy parts from Hatterass Outfitters. Easy to spend $70 on reel candy, but when you're done, the reel is much better than new.
