| I'm giving the ice a few more days to firm up so I can get to one of my spots well away from the crowds. I've been given a pass from the Mrs.-in-Chief to fish Saturday.
There have been a ton of people on Asylum all week and a few on Cowling. Reports of lots of little perch and an occasional keeper perch or eye. |

| I fell asleep working in my boat in the garage the other night and I dreamed about fishing.... does that count.
PS
Open water can't come soon enough for me! |

| Went to Poygan off Herbst on Saturday with the girl and a buddy....what a zoo. 5 tip ups out and 2 poles jigging....got no flags and one 21"northern jigging. Shanties, sleds, and snowmobiles everywhere. I think I will look somewhere else to fish. Anyone know of a small lake they could message me about to get away from the crowds and do cpr |

Location: Menasha, WI | It wasn't the number of people that made Poygan a zoo, it was the high percentage of complete idiots. I've fished many times on many different lakes with large numbers both summer and winter. I've never seen more inconsiderate morons clustered together in one area in all my life. I got out at 7am and set up well to the west of the "city" over Horshoe. By 8:30 I was surrounded by my own little city. I got one small eye and a few whities but when 4-wheelers decide to cut between my tip-up and my shack (less than 30 feet apart) I'd had enough.
