I've been given a pass from the Mrs.-in-Chief to fish Saturday. There have been a ton of people on Asylum all week and a few on Cowling. Reports of lots of little perch and an occasional keeper perch or eye. Shanties, sleds, and snowmobiles everywhere. I think I will look somewhere else to fish. I've fished many times on many different lakes with large numbers both summer and winter. I've never seen more inconsiderate morons clustered together in one area in all my life. I got out at 7am and set up well to the west of the "city" over Horshoe. By 8:30 I was surrounded by my own little city. I got one small eye and a few whities but when 4-wheelers decide to cut between my tip-up and my shack (less than 30 feet apart) I'd had enough.
