Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay.
Thats the way it was for us in December as well. But now they're 7 miles out on 12 to 14 inches.

Several years ago I believe spring of '95 or '96 I was up at my cabin in Hayward putting a fireplace in on the opener! I was doing that because we still had ice. If I had brought a plank with I could have put some tip ups out. Still wish I would have cause I'm thinking it's a long time till that happens again. Also several years ago someone wrote into the paper about how we'd be dipping our toes in the lake off the dock in December, well it's getting closer????!!!!! Good luck, Dennis
